The Managed Services Solution Architect is a strategic and client-facing role that blends technical expertise with commercial acumen. This individual leads the design and delivery of enterprise-grade, Hitachi infrastructure-based, scalable managed services solutions, aligning with customer business objectives and driving digital transformation. Operating in both pre-sales and delivery contexts, the Solution Architect collaborates with internal teams, customers and partners to shape compelling proposals and ensure successful execution. Key Responsibilities Architect and close sales opportunities, negotiating commercial terms and conditions with clients. Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade, managed services solutions, with particular emphasis on Hitachi infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, delivery, commercial, and technical experts to define and execute solution strategies. Capture, understand and analyse specific customer business issues and demands, and translate them into a Hitachi vision and solution. Present solution designs and strategies to internal and external stakeholders, including CXO-level audiences. Identify capability gaps in delivering transformational services and engage partners to complete the solution. Ensure solutions are cost-effective, functional, and deliver measurable value to clients. Maintain awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure solutions remain competitive. Skills and Qualifications Proven experience in designing and delivering managed services solutions within complex enterprise environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a creative approach to solutioning. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to influence, negotiate, and present at senior stakeholder levels. Solid understanding of IT enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, virtualisation, and ITIL frameworks. Financial and business acumen, including experience with P&L management and cost modelling. Experience working with infrastructure platforms and deployment models.
