Greentech Newcastle is seeking a driven and technically capable External Salesperson to join their high-performing team. In this dynamic, customer-facing role, you’ll be responsible for growing sales across the Newcastle and Hunter Valley region (but not restricted to) through proactive relationship management, technical expertise, and a genuine passion for renewable energy. You’ll work closely with the Branch Manager, internal sales, and technical teams to identify opportunities, deliver solutions, and help customers achieve success in the rapidly evolving solar market. Full time role, based in Beresfield, NSW. Your key responsibilities will include: Proactively identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within the solar and renewable energy sector. Build and maintain strong relationships with electrical contractors, solar installers, and key industry partners. Promote Greentech’s full solar product range and provide technical product support, backed by up-to-date product and industry knowledge. Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams to prepare tailored proposals, quotes, and product solutions. Conduct market research to identify growth areas, competitor activity, and emerging technologies, informing sales strategy. Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events while maintaining accurate CRM records to track pipeline and engagement. What you’ll need to succeed : Industry Experience : Demonstrated experience in solar or renewable energy sales, with a proven background in business development or account management. Communication & Influence : Confident, persuasive communicator with strong rapport-building and negotiation skills. Technical Knowledge : Solid understanding of solar products, systems, and their applications. Growth oriented : Highly motivated, target-driven, and competitive with a strong “hunter” mentality. Licence : Current driver’s licence is essential for this role to be actively on the road.
