About the Opportunity The Pharmacy Department at the Townsville University Hospital is seeking senior-level Pharmacists with varied experience to fill future vacancies. Roles to be filled through this recruitment process may be up to 12 months in duration and of a full-time or part-time nature. If you have a preference, please indicate this in your application. Successful candidates may be required to provide pharmacy services across a 7-day roster (Monday to Sunday) to designated work units. About the work unit / facility Provide leadership and deliver a high level, professional, client focused pharmacy service within an evidence-based multidisciplinary health care environment. This includes training, education and research activities to the North Queensland Kidney Transplant Service (NQKTS), Renal Units, and Renal Clinics serviced by the Pharmacy Department. Promote safe, effective and efficient use of medicines in keeping with the department's goals and objectives and mission statements for the Townsville Hospital and Health Service. This position will be based in Townsville and will provide pharmacy services to satellite dialysis units and support to rural hospital pharmacists in provision of renal pharmacy services. This role will require travel to satellite units. Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A health-related post-graduate qualification and/or completion of the SHPA residency program are desirable. Current Driver's licence. Rostered overtime and On Call may be a requirement of this position Variable working hours providing a 7-day extended hour's pharmacy service may be required. * This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.
