Make decisions and implement solutions to operational problems that occur in the course of your shift. Continually learn and share experiences with other managers and staff after solving issues, for future reference. Manage and working with rostered staff to ensure customer service, presentation and product quality levels are consistently achieved. Mentor staff and take part in delivering and documenting reviews and conversations. Completing keno & till reads and TAB balances. Ensuring cleaners schedule has been completed and venue is laid out according to plan. Manage the daily cleanliness of the entire venue and surrounds. Reviewing & adjusting staffing levels, responding to special circumstances & attending to short notice relief, maintaining a balance between costs & service needs. This includes reviewing the Day Sheets to ensure appropriate coverage & allocation of staff. Responding to and informing management of all emergencies and situations that arise due to equipment failure. Accurate completion of shift reports. Conducting or supervising any promotional activities. Operating in-house audio systems for Public Address, background music, meetings and functions. Accurate recording of any transfer between locations, additional stock acquired or wastage during a shift. Making recommendations on any adjustments required to current stock items or levels. Dealing with patron feedback and ensuring the appropriate action is taken. Ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures, governing legislation, assessing potential risks and taking the appropriate action. Management of events from time to time.
