As our technically skilled and forward-thinking Development and Regional Adaptation (DRA) Lead you will play a pivotal role in turning research and established knowledge into practical services and resources to enable Australian dairy farmers to strengthen the profitability, resilience and sustainability of their businesses. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of extension resources - making a real impact on the sustainability and profitability of the dairy industry. Key responsibilities Design & Develop Extension Services: Translate science into farmer-friendly tools, training, and resources that drive practice change. Collaborative Development: Work with internal teams and external stakeholders to co-design and deliver impactful programs tailored to diverse farming systems. Strategic Planning & Evaluation: Contribute to pilot programs and embed evaluation frameworks. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships across the industry to ensure services meet farmer needs and support adoption. About you To be successful in this role you will bring the following: Degree in agriculture, environmental science, or related field (postgrad or on-farm experience highly regarded). Deep technical expertise in a diverse range of dairy farm systems. Experience in developing and delivering extension or education programs. Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex science for practical use. Collaborative mindset and ability to work across diverse teams and stakeholders. Why Dairy Australia?
