About the Role We’re seeking a highly organised Lead to join our Competitions Administration & Systems (CAS) team. You’ll deliver year-round end-to-end administrative services that support Sydney Royal competitions and the Sydney Royal Easter Show, ensuring accurate data, smooth customer service and on-time delivery across busy show and non-show periods. You’ll partner with Competition Leads, Coordinators and Event Managers to manage entries, transactions and results, maintain a competition database, help train Coordinators, and supervise casual team members during peak periods. You’ll also help keep procedures, service agreements and training materials up to date as we continually improve how we deliver competitions at the RAS. Key Responsibilities Partner with Competition Leads and Event Managers to manage entries, transactions and results, delivering accurate, timely outcomes. Provide data administration and customer services to Competition Sections; supervise casual Show team members in the office and on-site during peak periods. Configure and maintain a competition database; ensure information is current and accurate; generate reports as required. Coordinate activities covered by service agreements; keep agreement documentation up to date. Participate in database user acceptance testing (UAT) and support system rollouts. Maintain process manuals and user guides; support training and assistance to Competition Officials, Competition Exhibitors, and other end-users. Check and resolve variances/issues with financial transactions; assist with reconciliations in line with procedures. Champion safe work practices and contribute to a positive team culture; perform other duties as reasonably required. Hours & flexibility: Core hours are 8:30am–5:00pm with flexibility. Additional hours will be required in the lead-up to and during the Sydney Royal Easter Show and other RAS events. About You Detail-driven administrator with excellent customer service and communication skills. Process-minded, adaptable and calm under pressure; able to prioritise across competing deadlines. Collaborative team player who can also work independently and supervise small teams during peak periods. Comfortable learning systems and translating procedures into clear, usable guides and checklists. An interest in agriculture, agricultural shows and competitions is welcomed. Qualifications & Experience Essential Tertiary qualification in business, administration and/or events (or equivalent experience). 2 years’ administration and data experience (40 wpm preferred). Confidence in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel (Intermediate); experience with databases and reporting. Strong written and verbal English; demonstrated customer service capability. Experience supervising a small team and coordinating workloads. Desirable Understanding of financial transactions and reconciliations in an administrative context. Experience producing or maintaining user guides, process manuals or training materials.
