ABOUT THE ROLE We are currently searching for a dedicated and motivated Head Chef to join our close-knit team on a full-time basis at our venue, Breakers Country Club, located in Wamberal, NSW! As a Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day kitchen operation whilst supervising our kitchen staff and ensuring the highest safety standards and high-quality meals are prepared for our customers to ensure we continue to create memorable guest experiences. More specifically, your duties will include but are not limited to: Manage of staff engaged across Kitchen operations both Front and Back of House, including performance management, recruitment, training and development Coordination of rosters to ensure operational needs are met including wage cost, forecasting and budgeting Ensure continuous improvement of our service delivery Attend and manage any staff complaints and customer complains Ensure compliance of hygiene standards as set out within the HACCP standards Ensure high customer services standards are always maintained Monitor stock levels and complete appropriate rotation of stock Assist with planning of menus Compliance with Work Health and Safey, and Food Safety ABOUT YOU To be successful for this role, you should ideally have the following: Previous experience working in and leading in a high volume kitchen Hold a Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery Hold a current Food Handling and Food Safety Supervisor Certificate Outstanding communication skills A passion for leading a team and be proud to see what your team can accomplish and support them to succeed You will have a good grip on the financial side of the kitchen (costings, budgeting, stock control, purchasing, ordering and rostering) You will work closely and collaboratively with the Club's leadership team to continually drive the catering department Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Well organised and have a strong customer focus Availability to work a flexible roster which may include days, nights, weekends and public holidays OUR BENEFITS A supportive and inclusive environment Access to ongoing learning and development opportunities Discounted meals Free onsite parking Uniforms provided WHY MOUNTIES?
