This is a 6 month contract opportunity to step into a key leadership role while a recruitment process is planned and undertaken for a full time incumbent. This is a full-time position and whilst our office is based in Newcastle, we will consider remote/hybrid working arrangements with regular visits to Newcastle for the right candidate. Description About the Role As Chief Operating Officer - Fundraising, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of BCT’s fundraising programs and leading a passionate team to achieve the organisation’s strategic goals. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will: Lead, manage, and inspire the fundraising team to deliver exceptional outcomes Oversee the performance and financial integrity of all fundraising programs Develop, implement and monitor activity-based plans, budgets, and timelines Build and nurture relationships with corporate partners, major donors, and the wider community. Contribute to the growth and innovation of BCT’s fundraising initiatives. This is an excellent contract opportunity for an experienced senior leader who enjoys leading teams toward operational excellence, strategic oversight, and driving results that change lives. Skills And Experiences About You You bring at least 10 years of relevant professional experience and a background in fundraising, marketing and/or communications in a not-for-profit environment. More specifically, having an understanding of, and experience in fundraising (especially in the health sector) will be highly regarded. You are leader who inspires confidence and collaboration and is a steady presence in a time of change for the team. You will also demonstrate: Proven success in managing and delivering strategic programs Strong financial management, reporting and implementation experience The ability to identify and capitalise on fundraising opportunities Exceptional communication and relationship building skills across stakeholders A passion for making a positive impact through your work Why Join BCT?
