With the rapid growth of our business, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HSE Advisor to support our Project Managers across a wide range of health, safety, and environmental initiatives. Working a 14 days on 7 days off (2:1) fly in fly out roster from Perth. As HSE Advisor , you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation and client requirements, and supporting the wellbeing of our workforce across diverse civil and mining projects. Your Role Will Include Providing expert advice, guidance, and training to leaders and workers on health and safety matters; Collaborating with project teams, supervisors, and contractors to promote safe work practices and a positive safety culture; Identifying, assessing, and controlling workplace hazards through proactive risk management; Conducting regular site inspections, audits, and workplace assessments to ensure compliance; Investigating incidents, near misses, and non‑compliances; preparing reports and recommending corrective actions; Delivering inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness initiatives to enhance workforce capability; Administering WHS systems and IT applications, including generating data analytics for reporting; Supporting continual improvement of company policies and procedures within the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001); Monitoring contractor HSE performance and ensuring compliance with company standards and contractual obligations What You’ll Bring A proactive mindset, strong work ethic, and willingness to adapt to fast‑paced project environments; Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Environment Advisor role within civil construction, mining, or heavy infrastructure industries; Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent) — highly regarded; Solid understanding of WHS legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards (including the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 (WA)); Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation; Competence in conducting audits, site inspections, and compliance monitoring; Strong communication skills with proven ability to build effective relationships across project teams and clients; Construction White Card — mandatory; Current First Aid and CPR certification; Valid Australian work rights; Driver’s licence (minimum “C” class); Beneficial but not essential Incident investigation training (e.g., ICAM, TapRooT); Internal Auditor training in ISO 45001:2018; Experience with HSE reporting platforms (e.g., INX/STEMS); What We Offer Full‑time permanent position; Competitive salary including base salary and site uplift; Collaborative and supportive team environment focused on growth and development; Fortnightly pay; Pre‑employment Requirements Successful candidates will need to: Complete a pre‑employment medical Pass initial and ongoing drug & alcohol screening Provide a current Police Clearance Comply with Garli’s Drug & Alcohol Policy Garli Culture At Garli Group, we believe in developing our people.
