The Pier Hotel Esperance is a relaxed, seaside pub and bistro located at Esperance WA 6450, offering meals, drinks, and a welcoming atmosphere. The venue features a bar, dining area, and an on-site bottle shop for convenient takeaway liquor. The Pier Hotel Esperance is now looking for a Retail Manager to join their team The right candidate will be responsible for: Managing inventory for beer, wine, spirits, and retail merchandise within the bottle shop; Establishing competitive pricing strategies based on market trends, supplier promotions, and business targets; Planning and overseeing in-store promotions, tastings, and seasonal campaigns to drive sales; Providing knowledgeable product recommendations to enhance customer experience and encourage customer loyalty; Upselling premium products, specials, and value-add deals to maximise revenue; Overseeing financial reporting, daily sales reconciliations, and performance tracking for the bottle shop; Monitoring expenses and revenue to ensure profitability across all product categories; Hiring, training, and supervising retail staff to maintain high standards of service and compliance; Ensuring safe handling, storage, and stock rotation for all liquor and retail items; Maintaining compliance with liquor licensing regulations, responsible service of alcohol (RSA), and workplace health & safety standards. About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Retail Manager; Strong ability to manage stock levels, track sales, and maintain optimal product availability; Knowledge of retail budgeting, sales forecasting, and revenue performance metrics; Experience organising in-store product promotions, tastings, and customer engagement activities; Ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, reps, and distributors; Solid understanding of liquor licensing laws, RSA requirements, and WHS/OHS regulations.
