Director of Emergency Medicine Latrobe Regional Health – Gippsland, Victoria Full-Time, Ongoing | Senior Leadership Opportunity This is one of Victoria’s leading regional health services, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Emergency Medicine to provide strategic, clinical and operational leadership to its busy Emergency Department. The Opportunity As Director of Emergency Medicine, you will play a key leadership role in delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred emergency care aligned with LRH’s strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include: Providing strategic direction and executive-level clinical leadership Overseeing clinical governance, accreditation compliance and evidence-based practice Leading and supporting the multidisciplinary ED team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement Managing workforce planning, recruitment, rostering, supervision and performance of medical staff Monitoring and optimising departmental outcomes, patient flow and operational efficiency Driving innovation, quality improvement and enhanced models of care Strengthening internal and external partnerships to support LRH’s regional role Working Together to deliver safe, high-quality care for the Gippsland community. About You You will be a capable, forward-thinking leader with proven experience in Emergency Medicine and departmental management. Essential requirements include: MBBS or equivalent, with full AHPRA registration Fellowship of the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) or equivalent Demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine and leadership of multidisciplinary teams Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills Proven ability to lead change, drive quality improvement and deliver operational results The Hospital offers a supportive and progressive environment with access to professional development, staff wellbeing initiatives and meaningful regional impact.
