Workfast is seeking a skilled Excavator Operator for ongoing works on a Substation & Switching Station project near Minore, NSW. This role starts ASAP on a major solar infrastructure project. Role Details Pay Rate: $44.00 p/hr OT Super Location: Minore / Dubbo Region, NSW Start: ASAP Hours: 6:50am starts, 10–12 hour shifts About the Role We are looking for an experienced Excavator Operator to support civil construction activities on a substation and switching station upgrade. You must be reliable, safety-focused, and competent operating excavators around live services, foundations, trenches, and other civil works. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work within a high-risk environment are essential. What You Will Be Doing Operating excavators for trenching, footings, battering, backfilling and general civil works Working around live services and critical infrastructure Assisting civil crews during substation construction activities Supporting tasks such as foundations, drainage installation and materials handling Conducting pre-start checks and maintaining plant to required standards Following all substation access, safety and environmental requirements Must Have White Card (Construction Induction) Excavator License (RIIMPO320F – Conduct Civil Construction Excavator Operations - preferred) Drivers Licence & Reliable Transport Previous experience operating excavators on civil or infrastructure projects Strong safety awareness and ability to follow strict site access and PPE requirements Physically fit and able to assist with labouring tasks when required No camp/accommodation provided — local or Dubbo-based candidates preferred Benefits $44 p/hr OT Super Daily Travel & Meal Allowance (if 1.5 hrs of OT worked in a shift) Ongoing work on major Essential Energy infrastructure 10–12 hour shifts, early 6:50am pre-start Work with an established civil contractor on a critical regional project Immediate start available About Us Workfast is a labour-hire company partnering with many of Australia’s leading construction and infrastructure businesses.
