You will advise and support Pathology Queensland Toowoomba Group Managers to deliver an efficient process-based Quality Management Framework that: Guides Pathology Queensland staff to deliver services that meet client needs. Complies with regulatory and legislative requirements. Drives continual improvement. What you'll do Lead and encourage less experienced team members in the development of their scientific knowledge by providing education, teaching and training as required. Provide advice and assistance to Line Managers and staff of the PQ - TW Group laboratories (Toowoomba, Dalby, Warwick, Kingaroy, Roma, and Charleville) to develop, review and maintain policies and procedures that: comply with regulatory and legislative requirements integrate with each other to provide a consistent end to end service for Pathology Queensland clients drive best practice and continual improvement. Support Pathology Queensland staff understand and address external accreditation requirements including NATA (Category G and B), NPAAC, TGA, and ISO 9001. Assist with the co-ordination of external quality assessments and OQI responses. Undertake root cause investigations to identify Quality Management System gaps and process improvements. About you We are searching for someone who has: Demonstrated high level of knowledge and skill in the performance of Quality and EQAP investigations in a clinical pathology laboratory. Demonstrated clinical leadership ability and contribution to the professional development of others. Demonstrated ability and proven success in contributing to building and sustaining continual process improvement culture within a large and diverse team. Proven ability to solve complex problems in the workplace. Well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including report preparation, the ability to negotiate, influence others and work collaboratively with people to make decisions. Ability to lead process improvement and client liaison activities. Understanding of laboratory quality systems and the requirements of NATA accreditation and ISO certification. Awareness of the human resource management policies applicable to contemporary workplaces. The successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) from a recognised university or tertiary institution. Why work with us?
