Seeking a savvy and conscientious applicant to fill the role as Clinical Assistant, who will primarily be responsible for processing specimens for serology and molecular testing. Additional duties include temperature monitoring, autoclaving and general cleanliness of the laboratory. Role fit: The essential requirements for this are: Knowledge of and or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of laboratory information systems (AUSLAB) relevant to the duties of the position. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and work without direct supervision. Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and communication skills to enable effective interaction within a work group and between clients (internal and external). Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with a broad range of clients and the ability to accurately process a variety of samples. * Ability to actively participate in a laboratory working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety and ethical behaviour.
