About The Team The Aurion System Support Team, part of the Shared Services Hub within the Financial & Shared Services Branch of the Department of Industry, delivers high-quality services to client agencies with a strong focus on payroll operations, system administration, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for coordinating team efforts, managing priorities, and ensuring integrity, compliance, and continuous improvement across the Aurion application. Key Responsibilities Include Support complex system queries and escalations, acting as a point of expertise Lead and coordinate scheduling of Shared Services Aurion Payrun activities, ensuring deadlines are met and resources are effectively allocated Demonstrate advanced Aurion system administration skills, including managing system operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing enhancements Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture Establish clear plans and timeframes for project and task delivery, ensuring alignment with team and organisational goals Monitor and manage team workload, negotiating responsibilities and supporting staff development in conjunction with your EL1 Act as a subject matter expert for Aurion, supporting escalations Support complex system queries and escalations Drive process improvements and contribute to strategic planning and business delivery activities Maintain documentation and procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, clients, and other government agencies Contribute to broader Shared Services Hub initiatives, including reporting, audit, and capability development Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens. Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
