About the Employer - G&H Civil Contractors G&H Civil is a leading civil contractor specialising in demolition, basement construction, and complex civil works, including roads, drainage, services, earthworks, and plant hire. About the Role You'll play a central role in the planning, delivery, and design management of piling and retention systems across basement and infrastructure projects valued between $5M and $30M as part of an experienced piling team.We're looking for an engineer with 5 years' experience across piling and geotechnical works; someone who combines solid technical knowledge with practical, site-based experience and a hands-on approach. Key Responsibilities Oversee piling operations, including bored piles, secant walls and CFA Experience in diaphragm walls is highly desirable but not essential. Experience in soil anchoring and shotcrete is desired. Prepare piling schedules and conduct associated material procurement, including reinforcing steel and temporary works items associated with plunge columns. Review retention designs in respect to constructability. Prepare detailed piling programs (Gantt charts) and update weekly with the project team. Track costs on a daily, weekly and monthly basis using Varicon software and report against the construction budget on a monthly basis. Raise Purchase Orders and approve supplier invoices. Prepare and submit progress claims and project reporting. Attend client meetings and contribute to upstream communication and relationship management. Oversee Safety Management on site and ensure SMWS's are in place for all works, assist in incident reporting, inspections and auditing using SIMPEL software. Implement and own the Quality Assurance process on site and ensure Form12 certification is obtained from the certifying engineer at the end of the works. This includes development and completion of ITP's, as-con surveys and compiling of test results.
