Cytology at Pathology Queensland Princess Alexandra Hospital provides a comprehensive state-wide non-gynaecological cytology service to hospitals on site as well as servicing other sitres within Metro South and West Moreton. Key competencies (role specific criteria): You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated knowledge and ability to screen and where authorised, report and validate all facets of non-gynaecological cytology preparations. Demonstrated ability to undertake, or rapidly acquire the skills to undertake, cytology specimen preparation, assessment, diagnostic testing and related duties both within the preparatory laboratory and at external clinical units. Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a team environment to achieve the goals of the work unit. Demonstrated willingness and ability to actively participate in and contribute to continuing education and other professional development activities.
