Part-time (0.6FTE) ongoing position to start Feb 2026 (must be available to work Tuesday) Based at our Head Office in Ringwood on the lands of the Wurundjeri People, with flexible/hybrid working conditions on offer.) $165,000 - $180,000 pro rata (dependent on experience) 12% Super Generous Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550 Your role, your impact As Director of Communications & Strategic Engagement, you will lead a passionate team to shape Each’s public narrative and reputation for care, safety, and quality. Your work will build trust and confidence among customers, staff, stakeholders, government, and media, helping Each deliver on its strategy and make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve. Key responsibilities: Lead and manage strategic communications, media, marketing, engagement, and advocacy activities that elevate Each’s profile and support organisational goals. Drive internal communications that support culture, change, and strategic alignment. Manage media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management. Build strong relationships and partnerships with government, sector, and community stakeholders. Advise the CEO and Executive Team on emerging risks, opportunities, and public messaging. Champion Each’s advocacy agenda, identifying and leveraging opportunities to influence change. Act as custodian of the Each brand and voice. Oversee development and execution of strategic cross-platform campaigns. Lead a high-performing team delivering communications, brand, media relations, internal communications, digital content, and support for major projects and change initiatives. Increase community and sector awareness, funding opportunities, and commercial partnerships. Who we’re looking for You are a courageous, strategic leader who inspires collaboration and excellence. You bring: Extensive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, or journalism. At least five years’ experience at a senior leadership level. Demonstrated success working collaboratively with executive teams. Proven ability to develop, influence, and lead strategy in a collaborative manner. Strong relationship-building skills with government, sector, and community stakeholders. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Agility, flexibility, and a continuous improvement mindset. Understanding of Australian government processes and policy environments. Desirable: Detailed understanding of the health and community services sector in Australia. Experience building partnerships and alliances to achieve growth.
