We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Assistant for a full-time role offering both local and shutdown work. Specialising in the manufacturing and maintenance of industrial sizers, you will be assisting Boilermaker and Mechanical Fitter teams with a broad range of TA responsibilities. With the workshop based in Malaga, you will be provided with all tools and PPE required and have the opportunity to assist with monthly shutdown work. Working from 6 am – 2 pm, Monday to Friday, this role offers overtime rates for full-time employees, along with the continual renewal of all required tickets and qualifications. Key Responsibilities: Strip, clean, paint, assemble and assess parts/components Attend mine site shutdowns as required Assist welders in the setup and clean-up of the workshop Basic use of hand/power tools as needed Safely operate an overhead crane and forklift Key Requirements: Valid Forklift ticket (essential) Full Australian working rights Working at Heights & Confined Space tickets (essential) Proven experience in a similar environment assisting trades and engineering teams Overhead crane experience (essential) Fire Attack ticket & Rio Tinto Induction (highly regarded, not required) This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturer that prides itself on providing a clean, safe, and enjoyable work environment, with the opportunity to work shutdowns on mine sites while still being home every night.
