What you’ll be doing In this role, you’ll work across high-availability, large-scale campus networks, taking responsibility for design, deployment, optimisation and troubleshooting. You’ll collaborate with a skilled infrastructure team to uplift network performance, enhance scalability, and ensure seamless operation across critical environments. Key responsibilities include: Designing, deploying and configuring large campus network environments Leading implementation of modern network fabrics (Extreme Fabric / SPB strongly preferred) Optimising routing, switching, wireless and segmentation across multi-building networks Working with enterprise security platforms such as Palo Alto, Sophos and Fortinet Building and configuring HPE or Dell servers, including virtual machine deployments Supporting virtualisation platforms (VMware and Hyper-V advantageous) Enhancing monitoring and visibility using PRTG, SolarWinds or similar tools Collaborating with infrastructure, systems and security teams to deliver best-practice solutions What we’re looking for We’re seeking someone who brings strong hands-on expertise with modern networking technologies and a passion for delivering robust, scalable solutions. You will ideally bring: Strong experience with Extreme Networks (highly preferred) Extreme Fabric / SPB experience (strongly preferred) Proven background designing and implementing large campus networks Knowledge of Palo Alto, Sophos or Fortinet firewalls Ability to deploy and configure HPE or Dell servers with VMs VMware or Hyper-V experience (nice to have) Familiarity with PRTG, SolarWinds or similar monitoring tools Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach Why you’ll love this role Salary package $140k–$180k depending on experience Work on complex, enterprise-scale network environments Exposure to modern fabric technologies and highly secure infrastructure Supportive team environment with opportunities to upskill Sydney-based role with real ownership and impact
