IT Project Manager Location: Onsite - Mayfield west We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a background delivering both software and hardware projects. This role supports the development and rollout of integrated weighing and system-based solutions for customers across Australia. Reporting to the IT Division Manager, this position is ideal for a mid-level PM looking to grow into a leadership role while managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects involving system configuration, hardware installation, and custom software development. Key Responsibilities Project Management (Hardware Software Delivery) Manage end-to-end delivery of integrated software and hardware projects. Gather and interpret customer requirements, including functional, technical, and hardware specifications. Translate customer needs into configuration requirements for both system software and supporting hardware components. Develop project plans covering timelines, milestones, testing phases, and resource allocation. Coordinate cross-functional teams (software developers, support staff, technicians). Ensure successful deployment of software, hardware, data interfaces, and network components. Monitor project progress, budget performance, and risk mitigation activities. Provide regular communication to internal and external stakeholders. Support user acceptance testing, hardware validation, data mapping, and integration checks. Manage changes in scope and assess impacts on cost, schedule, and staffing. Document decisions, configurations, and outcomes for future reference. Team Coordination & Support Collaborate with development, support, and field service teams to align work with project priorities. Provide clear direction on tasks related to software builds, hardware installation, and system configuration. Encourage a collaborative environment that supports problem-solving and continuous improvement. Assist in capability development by identifying knowledge gaps or training needs within the team. Systems & Product Development Support Work closely with senior developers and technical leads to support both hardware and software enhancements. Ensure solution designs meet customer expectations and align with business goals. Assist with testing strategies, including unit, integration, hardware, and user acceptance testing. Support post-deployment improvement activities such as bug resolution, hardware performance checks, and feedback analysis. Stay informed on emerging technologies relevant to embedded systems, industrial hardware, and software development. What We’re Looking For Proven experience delivering both software and hardware technical projects (mandatory). Strong ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary workstreams and technical teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Interest in developing leadership capability and stepping into broader management responsibilities.
