Our Government client is looking for an experienced Project Officer to support the development, coordination and delivery of a diverse range of projects. About the Role The role undertakes project management and support activities to help develop and deliver a range of projects, including operational policy, procedure development and legislative reform within established objectives. Key Accountabilities Provide project management and support services , including the preparation of reports and briefs, coordination of resources, maintenance of documentation and implementation and monitoring of project plans in line with agency methodologies. Prepare and maintain high-quality project documentation to support reporting, monitoring and evaluation, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and useful for effective decision-making. Identify and interpret relevant statutory provisions and develop clear procedures that guide and support staff in performing their roles. Evaluate operational policy and procedures to assess appropriateness, effectiveness and efficiency and to determine the need for corrective action and review. Conduct research, analysis and evaluation to identify emerging issues and prepare recommendations that inform policy, process and program improvements. Engage and communicate with key stakeholders , coordinating working groups, committees and consultations to support effective information exchange and deliver on policy and legislative requirements. Key Skills & Experience Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience. Experience providing project management support services. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines. Ability to prepare clear reports, briefs and project documents. Good research and analytical skills to identify issues and recommend solutions. Ability to interpret legislation or policies and turn them into practical procedures. Experience reviewing and evaluating policies or procedures. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work effectively with stakeholders, committees and working groups.
