Our Branch Information Services Branch (ISB) supports and enables nearly all of Council’s day-to-day activities and services through efficient, flexible and innovative ICT solutions. ISB leads the ICT strategy that supports the business objectives of Council as a whole, as well as information management and ICT service delivery in Council. The Role The position is an entry point to your career within Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in our diverse organisation. In this role, you will get the opportunity to work on Council's corporate and other associated spatial GIS datasets. Using your formal training you will work on a diverse range of projects from identifying opportunities for improvements, to leading and role modelling customer-focused behaviour that ensure our services are delivered to the highest standards. To be successful you will have: sound working knowledge of the ESRI Enterprise suite of products knowledge of Relational Database Systems (RDBMS) for the storage and management of spatial information. sound written and oral communication and negotiation skills demonstrated analytical and organisational skills to prioritise competing demands excellent customer focused behaviour and liaison with stakeholders demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently ArcGIS Pro skills to support components of a web GIS platform, such as Portal for ArcGIS or ArcGIS Online.
