The Opportunity The Project Control Coordinator plays a critical role in providing financial insight, strategic support, FSM insights, and cost control expertise across multiple construction contracts. This position will act as a key link between the IT, finance team and operational project managers to ensure financial rigor, budgetary discipline, and optimal project outcomes. The successful candidate will have a strong background in finance, a deep understanding of project management in the construction industry, and a proven ability to deliver cost analysis and control strategies that support project delivery and profitability. This opportunity will be based at our Tullamarine office. Key responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules as well as ensuring alignment between the schedule, project scope and key milestones. Implement EVM techniques to track project performance and provide regular updates on project progress and performance metrics Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies, as well as manage and document changes in scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring proper approvals are obtained. Prepare and deliver accurate and timely project reports, including progress, risks and financials. Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in collaboration with project team. Conduct variance analysis and investigate financial discrepancies. Support preparation of financial reports, monthly project reviews, and audits. Drive financial accountability and performance throughout the VIC O&M business Attend project meetings to support financial planning, reporting, and risk management. Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, margin results and the Contract/Project actual performance compared to the budget/forecast plans Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets. Provide insightful commentary and recommendations for financial and operational improvements. Support internal and external audits as required.
