HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. Your responsibilities will include: Auditing, amending and implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan Providing sound and timely technical advice, training and assistance to the APLNG project Supporting the Environment Manager in developing, implementing and delivering training packages for direct reports and Front Line leaders Supporting the Environment Manager and design team in reviewing the Environmental Design Deliverables for the Work Packages Supporting the Environment Manager and the Commercial Team in sub-contractor scope developments and pre-qualifications Maintaining a positive and outcome driven relationship with key project team members such as the Client representatives and senior project management and supervision teams Participating in internal and external Audits Participating in key multi-disciplinary review, planning and construction meetings What are we looking for you to bring to the team: Extensive previous experience in a similar position in the Civil Construction and/or transmission lines or infrastructure construction Sound understanding of Environmental Legislation with proven ability to review and interpret relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice and contractual requirements to Environmental industry requirements Demonstrated experience in developing, reviewing and adapting Erosion and Sediment Control Plans (Associate level and above or similar qualifications will be regarded) Demonstrated ability in developing and interpreting project related documents and preparing reports and monitoring compliance documentation Effective time and people management skills including planning and sequencing of work, of own and resource time management Understanding cost implications of directions and advice Demonstrated effective on the ground problem solving techniques and skills especially as it relates to delivery of outcomes. Other tertiary qualifications related to education & training will be viewed favourably Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
