HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. Your responsibilities will include: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of assembly and erection crews to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification. Monitor progress and quality of structural assembly and steel erection works, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and safety standards. Liaise with site engineers, subcontractors, and project managers to coordinate work fronts and resolve technical or logistical issues. Ensure workforce compliance with all site safety procedures, toolbox talks, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate records of work performed, crew hours, plant use, and report on progress or issues to senior site management Our minimum requirements for this role are: Proven experience in supervising assembly or erection activities on major infrastructure or transmission line projects. Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, work plans, and specifications. Strong understanding of WHS (Work Health and Safety) legislation with demonstrated commitment to safe work practices and site compliance.
