Secure Parking's core values are People First, Resilience, Integrity, Daring and Passionate We are looking for a SecureTech Technician (junior IT field support engineer) who will work with our senior support personnel to support parking equipment and related IT systems installed in our car parks, ensure they are well maintained, repaired quickly in the event of failure, and that preventive maintenance is carried out regularly to maintain optimum functionality and availability. They must have some experience in IT systems or commercial electrical trades, troubleshooting and fault diagnostics, and a strong desire to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Primary Duties and Responsibilities With the assistance of more senior engineer resources, identify software and hardware issues with parking equipment and associated IT systems and repair them to restore carpark operations. Follow documented procedures to perform regular software and hardware preventative maintenance on parking equipment to prevent outages at carparks. Assist in the installation of parking equipment, cabling, and associated IT systems at new carparks. Maintain up to date information on asset locations, configurations and health status. Run diagnostic programs or use test equipment to locate the source of issues. Record detailed information on issues, their symptoms, diagnostic steps taken and their results, and resolution steps, as well as details of preventative maintenance, including travel time and time spent on site, in a regular, consistent, and timely manner. Regularly monitor the incoming work queue and ensure issues are actioned in a timely manner. Work closely with both SecureTech engineers and leadership, as well as business leadership and end customers. The Successful Candidate Will: Work effectively and efficiently with support from more senior personnel, but with minimal supervision on a day-to-day basis. Take direction from SecureTech Engineers and leadership with regards to prioritisation of carpark maintenance, both from adhoc engagement and regular team-level meetings. Have a basic knowledge of IT systems and be comfortable learning and using field communications and task management tools such as Microsoft Teams, Outlook and a mobile app for field support and asset tracking documentation. Take an active role in self-education and on-the-job training to learn to accurately identify basic IT devices such as 4G modems, firewalls, switches and servers, along with associated peripherals and cabling; their function and purpose; and how to diagnose the source of faults within a carpark. Have a basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems and principals to ensure safe interaction and repair of parking equipment. Be comfortable learning how to work effectively and safely with power tools to effect repairs on equipment such as boom gates and kiosks. Have sufficient written and verbal communication skills to clearly and effectively document technical troubleshooting steps and current status of parking systems to colleagues and leadership. Be comfortable working on a fixed roster, which may include hours outside standard business hours as well as weekends. Have an unrestricted drivers license.
