What does a Graduate Subterranean Ecologist do? Undertake field surveys (subterranean fauna and short range endemic invertebrates) to a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate). Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports. Conduct laboratory work (microscopy-based lab work) including processing and identification of invertebrate groups. Liaise with technical and subject matter experts. Prepare proposals, budgets, and tender documents. Receive appropriate mentoring to develop your technical skills. Involves significant laboratory work, complemented by a substantial amount of fieldwork.
