HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the planning and execution of daily site activities, ensuring alignment with the project’s scope, schedule, and safety requirements. Providing the construction team with technical advice, including the interpretation of drawings, specifications, and design details. Monitoring and tracking project progress, maintaining accurate site records, and contributing to weekly progress reports and cost control. Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of works to the required quality and safety standards. Promoting and enforcing safety, environmental, and quality procedures in all on-site activities, in line with both project and regulatory requirements. What are we looking for you to bring to the team: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Previous site-based experience on major building projects. Experience working on healthcare or hospital projects is highly desirable, with an understanding of the complexity, safety protocols, and sensitivity required in healthcare environments. Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project documentation, and Where applicable, evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
