As the PMO Scheduling Lead , you'll play a pivotal role in driving portfolio-wide scheduling excellence, supporting project delivery, and ensuring visibility across timelines, dependencies, and resourcing. About the Role This is a hands-on and strategic role focused on developing, maintaining, and integrating schedules across a complex capital works portfolio. You'll establish a consistent scheduling framework, uplift capability across project teams, and provide the data and insights needed for informed decision-making. You'll also lead forward planning of the capital proposal pipeline, providing a clear view of upcoming investments and funding needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain a master portfolio schedule that integrates all capital projects and key milestones. Implement consistent scheduling frameworks, tools, and practices across the portfolio. Collaborate with business units to build and align the capital works pipeline with strategic priorities. Prepare forward-looking capital works views and funding requirements to support long-term planning. Uplift scheduling capability across the organisation through training, coaching, and knowledge sharing . Identify and report on risks, schedule slippages, and resource conflicts to support proactive management. Deliver integrated reporting and dashboards that connect schedule, pipeline, and performance data. Conduct Monte Carlo simulations to estimate P50-P90 outcomes and guide contingency planning. Represent the PMO in cross-functional planning forums, providing expert scheduling and portfolio insights. About You You're an experienced project or portfolio scheduler who thrives on structure, precision, and forward planning. You combine advanced technical expertise with the ability to coach, collaborate, and bring clarity to complex delivery environments. Skills and Experience Extensive experience in capital works, infrastructure, or asset-intensive environments, ideally within the public sector. Strong knowledge of scheduling principles including critical path method (CPM), dependency management, and earned value management. High proficiency in MS Project and/or Primavera P6 , with proven experience integrating multiple project schedules. Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and schedule-driven financial modelling. Experience developing dashboards and portfolio reports in Power BI or similar tools. Sound understanding of capital planning, investment lifecycles, and cost phasing processes. Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management. Certifications such as PMP, PMI-SP, or MSP will be highly regarded. Why Apply?
