Job Title: BI Developer - 6-Month Contract Location: Sydney (Hybrid / Office-based) Contract: 6 Months (Initial, with potential to extend) Rate: Up to $1,000/day inc. Super ️ About the Role We're supporting a major initiative in the Group Risk and Resilience - Financial Risk & Data Insights team, and we're looking for an experienced BI Developer to uplift their risk data and reporting architecture. Reporting into the Risk Systems & Operations Manager and working alongside the Head of Financial Risk , this role is focussed on delivering modern, scalable data models, reports, and dashboards that support enterprise-level risk insights - with exposure to the C-suite. If you're a hands-on BI expert with a passion for data architecture and risk analytics, this is your opportunity to drive meaningful change in a critical business area. What You'll Be Doing Designing and building efficient data models to support risk reporting and analytics Developing executive-level dashboards and reports, following UX/UI best practices Conducting data analysis and validation to ensure accurate insights Translating business requirements into technical specifications and robust solutions Advising on data warehouse design and contributing to ETL development Collaborating with cross-functional teams in a highly regulated risk environment About You 5 years' experience in business intelligence, data analytics or a similar technical role Expert-level SQL (T-SQL preferred) including data cleansing, ETL, schema design, and performance tuning Strong experience in Power BI or Tableau (Power BI preferred), with strengths in UX/UI and optimizing dashboards Advanced MS Excel and Power Query skills Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft workflow tools Demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex, unfamiliar business contexts Background in Risk, Compliance or Governance (highly desirable) Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field Relevant Microsoft, AWS, Google, or data certifications a strong advantage Why You'll Love This Contract High-impact role with exposure to senior leadership and enterprise risk strategy Opportunity to uplift and influence a critical risk data architecture roadmap Flexible hybrid setup, based in Sydney Competitive daily rate up to $1,000/day inc.
