Introduction The Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Victoria, providing specialist knowledge and support to young people from refugee and migrant backgrounds. Description The YRIPP Volunteer Support Officer is responsible for providing high quality engagement, training and support for YRIPP Independent Persons including actively enhancing YRIPP’s community connections to source additional volunteers. The Volunteer Support Officer will work closely with the Coordinator of Volunteers and other YRIPP team members to improve program operations and to tailor volunteer operations to support young people engaged with YRIPP. Demonstrated experience of working with and supervise volunteers. Demonstrated experience in project implementation including well-developed organisational skills and the ability to plan and manage an effective work program and meet deadlines. Highly developed interpersonal, liaison and negotiation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. Ability to work independently and use own initiative and also work in a team environment.
