About the role We are seeking a Territory Sales BDM who will drive growth in Kidde’s fire detection and fire suppression portfolio across NSW & QLD. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships with key stakeholders (consultants, contractors, end users, and channel partners), and expanding Kidde’s market presence in core and emerging sectors. As the Territory Sales BDM, you'll be responsible for: • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key verticals including commercial, industrial, mining, data centres, and infrastructure. • Develop and manage relationships with fire contractors, consultants, OEMs, and key decision-makers. • Promote and position Kidde’s fire suppression products (e.g., clean agent systems, aerosol, inert) and detection (e.g., intelligent smoke detectors, panels) as preferred solutions. • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide clients with compliant, high-performance fire protection solutions. • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical briefings. • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the tendering process for large-scale projects. • Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes (AS/NZS standards), and competitor activity to inform strategy. • Meet or exceed annual sales targets and KPIs aligned with national business goals. • Contribute to marketing strategies and participate in relevant trade shows, industry events, and conferences. To be successful in this role; • Minimum 5 years in business development, technical sales, or account management in the fire protection or building services industry. • Strong knowledge of fire detection and suppression systems, with a preference for experience with Kidde or similar product lines. • Familiarity with AS/NZS fire safety codes, building regulations, and compliance requirements. • Demonstrated success in developing new business and closing complex deals. • Technical aptitude and ability to understand system design, schematics, and specifications. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently and within a team. • Tertiary qualification in engineering, business, or a related discipline (preferred).
