John Kweh Pty Ltd solely operates a Malaysian and Indonesian Restaurant, located in Rundle Place, Adelaide, SA. As we’re opening another new restaurant in tea tree plaza, we’re looking for a Retail Manager to start ASAP. The Retail Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurants, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, and staff performance. The role involves managing both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, maintaining profitability, and implementing business strategies aligned with company goals. Key Responsibilities ·Oversee the daily operation of food stores to ensure efficiency and profitability. ·Manage both food outlets to meet the company’s targets, standards, and policies. ·Arrange the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget and business objectives. ·Monitor and manage financial transactions, budgets, and cost controls. ·Conduct marketing activities, analyse and interpret hospitality trends, and identify growth opportunities in the Adelaide market. ·Ensure the quality and consistency of all food and beverage items. ·Maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring all staff deliver positive guest experiences. ·Manage staff performance, including recruitment, training, and supervision. ·Conduct staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and new initiatives. ·Interview potential staff members and assist in the onboarding process. ·Promote and advertise the business through social media and local marketing initiatives. ·Review and discuss the business’s performance and operational issues with team members. ·Consult with customers to ensure satisfaction with meals and services provided. ·Monitor competitor activities and adjust operations accordingly to maintain competitiveness. ·Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the restaurant and hospitality industry trends. ·Manage stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records. ·Oversee ordering, receiving, and top-ups, ensuring proper documentation and cost control. ·Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. ·Supervise store cleanliness and ensure compliance with Work Health & Safety (WHS) and food safety regulations. Skills & Qualifications Diploma or higher qualification in Business, Retail, or Hospitality Management or three years of management experience in a food store or similar environment. Strong leadership and communication skills. Proven ability to manage budgets, sales targets, and operational efficiency. Passion for customer service and multicultural cuisine, particularly Malaysian and Indonesian food.
