Huon’s Learning and Development Team is looking for a motivated and passionate team member who thrives on creating the conditions for people to learn, grow, and perform at their best. You’ll play a hands-on role in developing and delivering training programs that build capability and strengthen our safety and performance culture across our processing operations. Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, this full-time, permanent position is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, implementing, and evaluating learning and development initiatives that enhance the skills and knowledge of employees within Huon Aquaculture’s processing facilities. Key accountabilities include: Deliver engaging, practical and high-quality training sessions that build skills, confidence and promote a strong safety and quality culture. Partner with leaders to identify skill gaps and develop annual training plans that align with business and compliance requirements. Maintain and monitor training compliance to meet HACCP, WHS and food safety standards, supporting audit readiness and regulatory reporting. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning culture where team members feel encouraged to develop and succeed. Manage training data and learning systems to ensure accurate, accessible and up-to-date records. Review and enhance training content, delivery methods and processes to continually improve learning outcomes. To be successful, you will have: Recent and relevant experience in training and developing team members in a similar environment. Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, identify priorities and deliver on objectives. Strong understanding of HACCP and food safety standards. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and a willingness to learn new systems. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams. A genuine focus on safety and wellbeing, consistent with Huon’s values. Willingness to travel to multiple sites, and occasionally interstate.
