Job Description We invite outstanding leaders in nursing research and education to join our internationally recognised School of Nursing and Midwifery as a Professor (Level E) of Nursing. This role is ideal for a distinguished academic with a sustained, high-impact research program aligned with Australia’s national research priorities (NHMRC, MRFF, ARC), and a demonstrated record of securing competitive funding, publishing influential research, and supervising HDR candidates to completion. You will be a recognised authority in Nursing, promoting excellence across research, teaching, engagement, and leadership. You will have achieved international recognition through original, innovative, and distinguished contributions to the field of nursing, which is demonstrated by sustained and excelled performance. In this position you will: Deliver a full spectrum of academic responsibilities, spanning research, learning, and teaching. Conduct high-quality impactful research and generate competitive research funding. Provide academic leadership ensuring consistently high-quality experiences and outcomes are achieved for higher degree research (HDR) candidates. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the community. Champion a values-led, collaborative academic culture aligned with Griffith’s strategic priorities. This is a continuing, full-time position based at our vibrant, world-class campuses across Southeast Queensland, including Nathan (Brisbane South), Logan, and the Gold Coast. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Salary Range The base salary for Professor (Level E) is $215,130 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation. The total package is equal to $251,702 per annum. Further to this salary package, the School of Nursing and Midwifery is willing to support the right candidate with a range of additional benefits including: Relocation Support. Start-up funds.
