As a Painter at Top2Projects, you will be responsible for preparatory works, applying coatings and finishing surfaces as part of our fit‑out and refurbishment projects. This position requires a strong eye for detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship. Responsibilities and Tasks: Prepare surfaces for painting including scraping, sanding, filling and priming interior and refurbishment projects. Apply paint, varnish, stain and other finishes to surfaces such as walls, ceilings and joinery in residential, commercial and strata environments. Select, mix and match paint colours and finishes, ensuring consistency and alignment with client briefs and our project standards. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, protect adjacent surfaces, and ensure safe disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with site requirements. Interpret job specifications and plans to determine painting requirements, scheduling and site coordination within Top2Projects' multi‑skilled team. Assist with coordination of subcontractors or trades (e.g., joinery, tiling) on the job site and ensure painting work aligns with overall project timelines. Conduct quality control checks to ensure surfaces are clean, smooth and correctly finished; rectify any defects or touch‑up work as needed. Maintain appropriate inventory of paints, coatings and materials; report usage, order replacements and manage wastage in company projects. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualification. Minimum 1 year experience as a Painter. Ability to interpret and follow job specifications, plans and instructions. Proficient in using manual painting tools and equipment, and knowledge of different coating types. Strong attention to detail, colour matching and surface preparation techniques. Good communication skills, ability to work within a multi‑trade team and deliver on time. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package ranging from $75,000 to $85,000 p.a plus superannuation for a 38‑hour work week.
