The Role We're seeking a detail-focused and reliable Pest Scout to join the team on a large citrus farm in Emerald, QLD. This is an important hands-on role that supports crop protection by identifying pests and monitoring plant health. You'll spend your days outdoors, walking through orchard areas to inspect trees and fruit, helping to maintain the farm's high production standards. Key Responsibilities As a Pest Scout, you'll play a key role in maintaining the quality and health of the citrus crop. Your duties include: Scouting and inspecting farm areas to identify pests and bugs Accurately recording findings and reporting to supervisors Following directions to ensure thorough and efficient coverage of designated areas Working safely and effectively outdoors, often in warm conditions Supporting other farm activities as required to assist the operations team Benefits Pay Rate: $31.19 per hour plus penalty rates Duration: 3-4 months Hours: Approx. 38 hours per week Early starts and afternoon finishes to beat the heat Enjoy working independently in a supportive and safety-minded team Gain valuable experience in crop monitoring and pest management Your Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Driver Licence (Car) - preferable Strong attention to detail and observational skills Good eyesight and ability to listen and follow directions Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
