An exciting newly created opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our in-house Finance team at Grace Loves Lace – a world-renowned bridal brand celebrated for redefining bridal fashion with effortless elegance and sustainability at its core. Based at our Gold Coast HQ, this is a development opportunity for a driven accounting professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll work closely with our CFO, supporting key financial operations across our global business, while developing leadership and people management experience within a collaborative and values-driven team. The Role As a Senior Financial Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes. You’ll also have the opportunity to mentor and support junior team members, building your leadership capability in a supportive environment. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AAS) and internal policies. Lead month-end close, consolidation, and preparation of accurate financial statements. Oversee all accounting operations including AP, AR, inventory, and revenue processing and reporting. Ensure compliance with AASB/IFRS standards, taxation (BAS, IAS, FBT, payroll, and global tax obligations), and internal governance frameworks. Manage balance sheet integrity, reconciliations, and audit readiness with strong supporting documentation. Supervise and develop offshore Finance Officers, fostering accountability and continuous improvement. Drive process and systems improvements across ERP, reporting dashboards, and automation tools. Partner with the CFO and Company Accountant to deliver insightful analysis, board reporting, and budgeting support. Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail, E-commerce, and Operations teams to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. Contribute to finance transformation initiatives and implementation of new policies or regulatory changes. Support cashflow management, forecasting, and payment approvals. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders across departments and global teams. About You: CPA or CA qualified (or working towards), with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline. At least 5 years’ experience in a financial accounting or similar role, ideally within a multi-entity or international business. Strong technical accounting skills, with proven experience across financial reporting, tax, and compliance. Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP, and advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred. A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships. Eager to grow into a leadership position, with an interest in developing people management experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships across all levels of the business.
