The Opportunity: We’re seeking a talented Bid Writer / Manager to refine and elevate the tendering and bidding function during a transformative period of growth. This newly created role will be pivotal in building strong internal capability, strengthening external partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of winning submissions that position the business as a partner of choice in a competitive market. As the central link between Business Development, Operations, and Senior Leadership , you’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities, shaping compelling responses, and driving sustainable growth. Your Role: In this hands-on and strategic position, you will: Lead the end-to-end tender and proposal lifecycle, from opportunity identification to final submission. Proactively monitor tender portals and identify opportunities aligned with company strengths. Coordinate tender briefings, site visits, and clarifications. Ensure all submissions are accurate, compliant, and strategically positioned. Collaborate with technical, pricing, and subject-matter experts to deliver persuasive, high-quality proposals. Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Develop and refine best practice templates, tools, and knowledge libraries. Lead go/no-go frameworks to focus resources on high-value opportunities. Analyse outcomes, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement. Provide insights and strategic guidance to enhance DFM’s market position. What You’ll Bring: We’re seeking an experienced professional who can combine strategic thinking with flawless execution . You’ll be confident, curious, and collaborative — someone who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment. To be successful, you’ll bring: Minimum 3 years’ experience in bids, proposals, or tender management with experience in the facilities services, cleaning, landscaping or maintenance services industry. A track record of success in securing complex, high-value contracts in facility management or service-based sectors. Strong understanding of tender portals, evaluation criteria, and compliance frameworks. Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement abilities. Strong technical proficiency across Microsoft Office and tender software systems. Highly Regarded: Experience with government procurement processes. A background in business development or technical writing. Experience establishing or refining bid functions from the ground up.
