Our client, a key government agency, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join their team in Canberra. This role involves supporting and enhancing critical network infrastructures that underpin essential government operations. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for maintenance of reliable and secure network systems. Your expertise will help ensure uninterrupted communication and data flow across the agency’s platforms, supporting various public initiatives. Responsibilities include: Performing routine network maintenance and monitoring to ensure optimal performance. Level 2 and 3 support and administration of a global network Installation and configuration and maintenance of Cisco and Fortinet hardware and software platforms to provide data centre networking, SD-WAN, VPN remote access and WiFi Troubleshooting network issues and providing timely resolutions. Collaborating with IT teams to support infrastructure upgrades and projects. Maintaining security protocols and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience with network support and engineering in a complex environment and a strong commitment to service excellence. The role is Canberra based and candidates must hold a re-instatable NV1 Clearance. Initial contract term will be 12 months.
