About this role We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our Plant team at Wellcamp (Toowoomba). Reporting to the Corporate Plant Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling mechanical equipment and systems on heavy plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Responsibilities: Execute preventative and corrective maintenance on plant machinery and equipment Perform fault finding, repair, and replacement of parts/components Carry out equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and rebuilds Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety and quality standards Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports Collaborate with yard and project teams to minimise downtime Identify opportunities for process and equipment improvements To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, preferably in pipeline construction, mining, or heavy plant environments Cert III Mechanical Trade or equivalent High-Risk Work License (Rigger, EWP, Dogman, Forlift, etc) RII Tickets (confined space, working at heights, etc) This position is based in Toowoomba with some potential to visit and support projects (site based) on an adhoc basis.
