About This Opportunity We are seeking an experience d and motivated Research Manager to support the delivery of clinical research and trials within the Ageing and Geriatric Medicine research team , part of UQ’s Centre for Health Services Research (CHSR) . In this key leadership role, you will work closely with Chief Investigators and research teams to plan, implement and monitor a range of research programs. You’ll oversee all stages of the research lifecycle—from project development and governance submissions to stakeholder engagement and reporting—ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key responsibilities will include: Managing the end-to-end delivery of research and clinical trials, including project planning, governance submissions, budgets and reporting. Providing high-level project management, advice and operational support to research leaders and collaborators. Supervising and guiding a small team to deliver high-quality research outcomes. Coordinating stakeholder and partner engagement activities to strengthen research collaboration and impact. This is a full-time fixed-term position through to December 2027 at Hew Level 8. About You A postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and at least five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven success managing multiple research projects of varying complexity within a health or academic environment. Experience leading small teams and supporting senior researchers to achieve program objectives . Strong skills in preparing governance submissions, grant applications, and reports for funding bodies. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively. Proficiency in research systems and tools (experience with REDCap or similar platforms would be advantageous ). The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia, criminal check & education check and mandatory immunisations .
