Position Summary
As our Electrician, you will support the Engineering team in maintaining the resort’s electrical systems, facilities, guest rooms and public areas. Your work ensures a safe, efficient and high-quality environment for our guests and associates. This hands-on role involves fault finding, routine inspections, repairs, and delivering exceptional service across the resort.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on all electrical systems including switchboards, lighting, dimmer racks, emergency systems, kitchen equipment and plant.
- Conduct preventative maintenance, inspections and repairs across guestrooms, public areas and plant rooms.
- Complete meter readings and maintain accurate maintenance and utility records.
- Perform test & tagging, emergency lighting inspections and thermographic checks.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests with a professional and friendly approach.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment, including managing stock levels.
- Support the Engineering Manager and wider team in achieving departmental goals and ensuring safe operations.
- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and report hazards or incidents immediately.
- Assist other engineering trades when required and uphold strong communication within the team.
Key Requirements
- Electrical trade qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- First Aid Certificate, Rescue from Low Voltage, and QLD White/Blue Construction Card.
- Strong technical knowledge across electrical systems and general maintenance.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work safely, efficiently and both independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting, bending and working across various areas of the resort.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
