This position goes beyond the traditional supervisory role, carrying enhanced responsibility, elevated authority, and a key leadership presence within the department, particularly during times when the Housekeeping Manager is off-site or unavailable. As the Senior Housekeeping Supervisor, you will Supervise and support the work activities of the Room Attendants to ensure clean, orderly, and attractive rooms in the hotel. Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action. Purchase housekeeping supplies and equipment, take periodic inventories, screen applicants, Train new employees, and conduct performance management. Address performance concerns promptly and professionally, including holding difficult conversations where needed to ensure accountability. Manage and prioritise workload efficiently, especially during busy periods or under pressure. Provide guidance, support, and direction to other Supervisors, helping them resolve issues, improve standards, and develop their own leadership skills. You will act as the primary point of leadership in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, providing guidance, making operational decisions, and supporting the team to meet departmental goals. About You Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Supervisor in a hotel or similar environment Strong leadership qualities with the confidence to act as second-in-command for the department. Exceptional organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Proven ability to make decisions independently and manage multiple priorities. Outstanding people management and communication skills, with the ability to coach, support, and motivate staff. Confident in leading difficult conversations, addressing performance issues, and holding team members accountable. Demonstrated experience conducting performance management.
