The Role: Surfers Pavilion is looking for experienced Baristas to join our team of hospitality professionals. The candidate: Friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing and with strong social skills Preferably with a minimum of 1 year experience making coffee - including latte art . Knowledge, passion and understanding of coffee The ability to work in a fast-paced environment A team-player, as well as a self-starter that is able to work autonomously when needed Excellent communication skills Be well presented, punctual, and reliable Flexibility and availability for early morning shifts. The Responsibilities: Preparing espresso-based coffee drinks, such as long black, flat white, latte and cappuccino, following standard coffee-making protocols Preparing other beverages, including tea, hot chocolate and frozen drinks (i.e. iced lattes, iced chocolates and smoothies) Keeping coffee-making equipment clean throughout the day and following a procedure to thoroughly clean the equipment at the end of the day The Venue: Surfers Pavilion, the most vibrant, waterfront venue in the iconic Surfers Paradise.
