Conduct routine assessments and monitor the health status of expectant mothers and newborns. Educate patients on pregnancy, childbirth, and infant care, guiding them through the transition to motherhood. Assist in the development of individual birth plans and preferences, advocating for patients' wishes and needs during labor and delivery. Implement evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure quality care and positive outcomes for mothers and their babies. Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care. Maintain accurate patient records and document all nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Participate in community outreach programs to promote maternal and infant health. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Midwifery or equivalent qualification recognized in Australia. Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) as a midwife. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. Desired Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in midwifery practice, including hands-on experience in labor and delivery settings. Experience in managing complex cases and emergencies during childbirth. Familiarity with the latest advancements in maternal and infant care practices.
