Description The opportunity There is an exciting opportunity which exists within our stockyards team to undertake the hands-on function of managing the operations in the stockyards. Key accountabilities for the role are but not limited to: Provide care for all live animals in the Stockyards in accordance with all company and animal welfare standards Enforce compliance to all transport deliveries of pigs and backfatters to the site to ensure animal welfare standards are met and fatigue management of drivers. Any failures are to be reported to your Manager and Quality coordinator immediately for immediate action and control. Notify your Manager, DA OPVO and Slaughter floor quality Coordinator immediately regarding any sick, injured, disabled or diseased animals. Monitor Stock Handling performance to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures. Clearly document and report findings to Manager. Ensure Pig Pass National Vendor Declarations are correctly completed signed and correct counts match the kill agenda. Ensure Ante-mortem cards are completed correctly and presented prior to pigs entering slaughter floor as per company policy and procedures. Ensure animals are fed under legislation for feed requirements set by the company. Liaise with Maintenance manager for needs to ensure health, safety, and quality standards. Report these findings to your manager to ensure support and compliance. Escalate if required for urgent matters. Ensure team members adhere to QSWI’s, SOP’s and WH@S standards. Finalise all monitoring forms and reports at completion of shift Liaise with slaughter floor Manager on daily KPI meetings. Provide daily feedback to the slaughter floor Manager. Complete time sheets daily submit to payroll in a timely manner as requested by the payroll team. Always ensure adequate manning of all positions. Ensure Corporate Guiding Framework is known, adhered to and lead by example Ensure adherence to Instrument of Delegations and all other company policies.
