With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Registered Midwives to join the Kilmore District Hospital Maternity Unit team.   Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role:  This role requires a strong clinical and operational leader who can support the delivery of safe, high-quality maternity care within a community-focused setting.  This role is responsible for overseeing daily unit operations, leading and supporting midwifery staff, ensuring compliance with clinical standards, driving quality improvement initiatives, and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.  To be successful in this role you will have:  Extensive experience and a strong working knowledge of maternity services and midwifery practice Proven ability to lead, mentor and support multidisciplinary teams Demonstrated commitment to patient-centred care, safety and quality improvement Well-developed communication, organisational and problem-solving skills The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders Relevant midwifery qualifications and current AHPRA registration  Next Steps . . . If this opportunity sounds like the next step in your career, then we would love to hear from you.
