Administrator - Property and Works Canterbury College is a high-performing, award-winning Anglican ELC to 12 school, serving the dynamic growth corridor of Logan, northern Gold Coast, the Scenic Rim and southern Brisbane. About the Role: We’re looking for an organised and proactive individual to support our Property and Works team and Director. In this role, you’ll help keep our property management, maintenance, and project operations running smoothly, ensure compliance requirements are met, and be the go-to contact for staff, contractors, and suppliers. The role is offered on a part-time basis (0.5) with the possibility to negotiate flexible rostering across the five school days, which are mutually beneficial to the successful candidate and the College. Responsibilities may Include: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Property and Works team to ensure efficient daily operations. Coordinate meetings, schedules, and communications for the Property and Works team and the Director. Prepare, maintain, and file accurate records, reports, and correspondence in accordance with College policies and procedures. Assist with the planning, coordination, and tracking of maintenance activities, capital works, and other property-related projects. Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to schedule works, confirm completion, and follow up on outstanding items. Collaborate with the Finance team to support accounts payable, procurement processes, and reconciliation of the Director’s corporate card. Obtain quotes, raise purchase orders, and monitor delivery of goods and services to ensure value and compliance with procurement policies. Support the administration of service agreements, warranties, and insurance documentation for College facilities and assets. Contribute to the continuous improvement of administrative systems, processes, and documentation within the Property and Works team. Provide personal assistance to the Director of Property and Works, including calendar management, meeting coordination, and correspondence preparation. Draft and format reports, briefing notes, and other documentation on behalf of the Director. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative support, ideally within a property, facilities, or project management environment. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in preparing records, reports, and correspondence. Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications and administrative systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly. Familiarity with procurement processes, including obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders, and managing invoices. Essential Qualifications: Have a current Positive Notice working with children Blue Card, or the ability to obtain one. Experience working in an educational setting highly regarded.
